It's not for everyone, as you point out, and IMO it has a glaring flaw - there's no key mapped to the "Undo" button (you can't get such high scores without judicious and repeated use of "Undo"!) and it can take a lot of clicks with the mouse to set up a successful line of attack, which is very awkward sometimes. I've been playing the same game for months and my current score is 2,957,530 points (I've lost track of how many times it's rolled over), and my goal is 3 million. Had to jump in because this is one of my favorite games, a go-to when I'm bored or have a few minutes, or when I just need a distraction. I appreciate that there isn't a big focus on a lame story that I have to skip through. It requires more strategy than just dumb luck. This is a very non-traditional match 3 game, and once I found my way out of the rabbit hole I am really enjoying it.

It may be simpler than converting your favorite tunes to.

On most of these games, I turn the music off and play my choice of music with the VLC player as I play the game. I mention this just in case anyone else encounters this problem-you MUST give yourself a player name in order for the game to work properly and with graduated difficulty levels!! I didn't know what the heck was going on for quite a while. The result was that I didn't get the help instructions, and the game jumped from one level to the next higher level without the intermediate steps in between. I didn't read the directions all the way through (my bad), and so I just started the game without giving myself a specific player name.
